The Oregon Ducks women’s basketball team received another commitment to its 2026 recruiting class on Friday.

Guard Kennedy Holman announced her commitment to attend Oregon on ESPN2 during halftime of a national high school semifinal basketball game.

During the interview, Holman unzipped her black jacket, revealing a yellow Ducks shirt.

Holman originally signed with Florida. But the Gators fired coach Kelly Rae Finley last month, after Florida went 18-15, including 5-11 in the SEC for the fourth consecutive season. That led to Holman decommitting.

During her interview, Holman said her decision to commit to Oregon was influenced by her mother, Lisa Bowyer-Holman, having played for the Ducks from 1995 to 1999.

“I think just having connections through my mom, her playing there, and the coaching staff just making me feel really welcome, and the culture there as well, really helped my decision and ultimately made me decide to go there,” Holman said.

Bowyer-Holman appeared in 109 games for the Ducks, averaging 7.5 points and 3.3 assists.

The addition of the 5-foot-10 Holman adds depth at point guard behind Katie Fiso. The four-star recruit averaged 17.6 points and 3.6 assists as a senior at Hamilton Southeastern High in Fishers, Indiana.

The Ducks, who also return starting guards Ari Long and Sofia Bell, lose Astera Tuhina to graduation and Elisa Mevius to the portal.

Oregon coach Kelly Graves said after the Ducks’ season ended in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against Texas that he hoped to add a guard who could help Fiso with point guard duties.

He also plans to add size through the transfer portal. That became more imperative after 6-3 Sarah Rambus announced her intentions to enter the portal, which opens Monday.

Oregon’s 2026 class also incluldes guards Brooklynn Haywood (5-9, Camas, Wash.) and La’u Pele Falatea (5-11, Salt Lake City, Utah), and center Emilia Krstevski (6-4, Sierra Canyon, Calif.).
